How It All Began...
In 1988 on my kitchen table, with my whole family in tow, we started a little business with a few die-cut notepads, a leaf, a ginger jar, a shell, and a bow. Some of you may even remember when I carried those products around in a little wicker basket to local stores! Of those first pads the bow was the most popular, so we made more bows.
Over the next twelve years, the company and the Lady Jayne family grew and grew. During that time we moved no less than 8 times to larger and larger facilities.
The Sale...
With all this history, it saddened me that in 2000, for personal reasons, I made a decision to sell the company. Since then, I‘ve always questioned that decision and dreamed that one day I'd be back at Lady Jayne.
Coming Home...
After the success of Jayne's Closet in 2004, the company made a few missteps and lost its way. Watching this was painful for me, but it presented an opportunity that I couldn't pass up.
In October 2006, I reached an agreement with the former owners of Lady Jayne Ltd. to purchase the company back. Joining me in this endeavor is my son, Gregory, who will be heading up the business, while I take on the challenge of designing innovative and successful products that you and your customers will love.
We knew going into this project that it's going to take some time for us to regain the trust and respect of our customers, but we're committed to this business and delivering great products to our customers. On that note, you have our word that we're going back to the roots of what made this company successful in the past, yet updated for today.
The Future...
In addition to our renewed commitment to great products, we also have a renewed commitment to you, our valued customers. We promise you:
- Quality products with great style and value that your customers will love
- Clear communication and respectful customer service
- Our best efforts to stock the products you are excited about and prompt shipping
- Helpful ideas on how to make the most of Lady Jayne Ltd. products in your store
If for any reason you don't feel we're living up to these commitments or just want to give us a little feedback, good or bad, send us a note at feedback@ladyjayneltd.com. You'll get a personal response. You're also always welcome to visit us at our office in California, or at any of the numerous trade shows where we exhibit.
It's exciting to be back! On behalf of the entire Lady Jayne team, I would like to say thank you for your business and we look forward to working with you in the future.
